In conjunction with our unit on owls, Ms. Karen and Ms. Debbie came in to teach our preschoolers about different types of birds and their habits. They were introduced to some new vocabulary words such as talon and nocturnal, and the kids were given an opportunity to meet two different owls named Beauregard and Big Mama, a hawk named Camelot, and even a falcon named Kellie, who kept a very close eye on all of our young friends.
