The preparations began back in June when Ms. Kari, our grade school head teacher, took a trip to San Francisco to see the play "Wicked" for her birthday. When she returned from the city Ms. Kari shared stories about the play and its music with the grade school and kindergarten children. The kids were very interested in the play, and ever since then the soundtrack has been on heavy rotation on the grade school's I-tunes account. When faced with the question regarding what they should do for the talent show, the decision was quickly made---they would perform a musical number from "Wicked." After many hours of practice the children worked together to perform the song "What is this feeling" before an audience consisting of family, friends, and children representing the ten additional Kids Kare schools. At the end of the day, all of their hard work paid off---the kids came home with First Prize in the large group category. Congratulations to all of our hardworking Kids Kare kids!!!
