The children talked about the uniqueness of these endangered habitats and the many amazing lifeforms that call the rainforest home. They were introduced to new terms such as "canopy." "under story," and "emergent layer" which are three of the layers of the rainforests, while also answering questions such as; "How would you like to live in a place where it rained every single day?" Additionally, our friends had a blast using their bodies to make a web so that they could pretend to be a spider or an insect winding its way through the layers of the rainforest.For many of the children it was a fun firsttime exposure to this interesting subject. |
